taken excellently by Wareham, and that sums up a commanding display by the Northern Superchargers! Back of a length, angling into middle and leg. Levick swings at it because, well, why not. Tugs it uppishly towards deep mid wicket and Wareham races in from the fence to complete a forward-tumbling catch. A comfortable win in the end, and the Superchargers have been full value for it!
N S-Chargers vs Fire, 3rd Match at Leeds, Women's Hundred, Aug 07 2025 - Match Result
5:35pm That will be all from us for this game. But the Men's Hundred will be swinging into action not long from now, and you can catch all the action here. Until next time, from Sudeep, Vairavan and myself (Shashwat), this is goodbye!
Hypocaust: "Northern Superchargers women have now won 11, lost 4 and tied 1 at Headingley. Their win-loss ratio of 2.75 to 1 is the best for any team at their home ground in the women's Hundred."
Georgia Wareham, Player of the Match: Felt really good. We were really clinical in all facets. (On the chat with her skipper when she walked in to bat) Just be(ing) really calm at the time, knowing that there were quite a few balls left. Always calm with her (Armitage), she keeps things level. Wanted to take the game on and be brave, and thought we did that today (as batters). (Mindset with the ball) We wanted to keep the stumps in play. The change of pace worked for them and we took that into play for us. Just starting off with a win is really good. The way the girls played, it did not look like it was our first hit-out, will take a lot of confidence (from this).
5:30pm At the half-way stage, it felt the Superchargers had an above-par total on the board, and so it proved. They were helped by a terrible mix-up between Dunkley and Matthews early in the chase. Matthews could not find her range either, which meant Beaumont had to do plenty of the heavy lifting. There was a phase where Beaumont and Elwiss threatened, but a run-out, which culminated in the latter's dismissal, set in motion another collapse - one that proved decisive eventually.
Plenty of positives to take for the hosts, on the other hand. Their batters put in a collective display, and their bowlers followed it up, with each of them getting on the board. They were also largely tidy in the field and they will take a lot of confidence from this opening-game display moving forward.
slanted in very full on middle and off. Levick thumps it back at the bowler, who gets something behind it. Might have copped a blow on the right shin, though, and that will not tickle...
on a length outside off. Levick swishes at it and misses

Around the wicket
back of a length outside off. Levick presses half forward and jabs it towards sweeper cover
This last partnership is worth 14 already, and these could be valuable runs from an NRR perspective later in the tournament. Cross to bowl out as well
flighted up again, full outside off. Levick comes forward and drives it towards sweeper cover
floated up fuller and wider outside off. Levick drills it towards cover, who misfields. Armitage, trying to recover it, gives chase but like Litchfield in the previous over, flicks it back into her body, with the ball rolling over!
back of a length outside off. Levick stays back and chops it towards backward point
back of a length on off. Levick gives herself a bit of room and jabs it through point for a couple of runs
very full just outside off. Levick has a waft at it and misses
Wareham to bowl out. Can she wrap things up? Slip in place
fullish on off. Ismail clears her front leg and heaves it to long on
full and wide, and Ismail does not hold back. She throws everything at it and carves it over extra cover. Litchfield runs around from deep point, puts in the dive but pulls it back into her body, with the ball eventually bobbling over!
very full outside off. Ismail digs it out towards the bowler
missed run-out chance! Full outside off. Ismail bunts it uppishly towards mid off and calls for the single. She then sends back her partner, and Levick was not even in the frame had there been a direct hit

darted in full on the pads. Ismail misses her flick and the ball rolls off the front pad into the on side
safe! Length ball outside off. Ismail skips down the track and then swishes at it with all her might. Slices it terribly, however, and is fortunate that swirls enough to extra cover's right
