Benn stars in thrilling tie

Chris Gayle's whirlwind display of hitting helped West Indies pull off a thrilling 15-run win in the first ever super over contest in an international Twenty20

Well that's it! The first ever super over has ended in a win for the West Indies. Gayle made solid contact with just about everything that came his way dispatching the ball to all areas of the crowd. It was too much to ask for New Zealand who had to push and eventually needed 18 runs of 3 balls.

Well what a thrilling finish! West Indies will have feel they could have won the game with Gayle starting off so strong but New Zealand will also feel that they were ahead in the last few overs.

We will now have one super over for each team. 3 batsmen and one bowler are chosen for each team who are bowl one over each on the same pitch with the same ball. West Indies batted second so they will have the first super over. If two wickets fall then the team is out and no more balls will be bowled.

he gets bat on it and angled away to backward point. Oram jumps on it and hold on to the ball as they sprint one. And that's it the game is tied! We will now have the first ever super over to settle the teams.
