match and 198th innings. He became first Australian and eighth batsman
in the world to reach this milestone. The wicket of Damien Martyn was 400th for Wasim Akram in his 285th
match.Akram,in the course, became first ever bowler to reach this
milestone. At present the only other bowler who is near to Akrams
tally is another Pakistani Waqar Younis with 290 wickets from 179
matches a gap of just 110 wickets !Glenn McGraths figures (8-0-67-1) are the second most expensive

by Adam Dale who conceded 70 runs off his 8 overs against South Africa
at Bloemfontein on 13-04-1997.Stuart MacGill (4-19) became the third Australian and 23rd bowler
in ODIs to capture four wickets on debut. The other Australians to do
so are Tony Dodemaide (5-21,v SriLanka,Perth,02-01-1988) and Carl

MacGill?s figures are the fourth best by a debutant.Waqar Younis innings (37) was the second highest for Pakistan at
number 10 after Abdur Razzaqs 46* (v South Africa,Durban,03-04-1998 -
highest by any batsman at number 10).It was also the second highest by
any batsman against Australia at this position after Englands Angus

lost only two matches out of last 20 matches. The Man of the Match award was MacGills maiden award. He became
third Australian to win the award on debut after Merve Hughes (3-30, v
Pakistan, Adelaide,11-12-1988) and Brendon Julian (3-50, v
