Indians record disappointing performances
Both Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble failed to make any significant
impact in their respective PPP Health Care County Championship
Division one matches on Saturday.
Set to score 280 runs for a win on the third day against Lancashire,
Kent lost David Fulton (1) with only one on board. Then Dravid (6)
followed suit leaving Kent struggling at 20 for 2. After that Kent
kept losing wickets at regular intervals as Gary Keedy (3 for 13) and
Chris Schofield (4 for 25) ran through the middle and lower order to
help seal Lancashire's 154-run victory at Old Trafford.
In the other match at Grace Road In Leicester, Indian leg spinner Anil
Kumble picked up match figures of 1 for 81 in his 32 overs as
Yorkshire and Leicestershire settled for an inconclusive draw.
