Afzaal Haider appointed temporary National Coach of Hong Kong teams

The Hong Kong Cricket Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Afzaal Haider as the temporary National Coach for the Hong Kong Senior and Hong Kong Under-19 cricket teams with immediate effect.

Mr. Haider will be in charge of all coaching matters of the two squads and will take them through to the ACC Twenty20 Cup in UAE in November and the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand in January 2010.

He will appoint a team of Assistant Coaches to assist his coaching of the squads as required.

Mr. Haider's appointment follows the sudden resignation of Mr. Aftab Habib as Hong Kong National Coach.
