South Africa's defeat by Bangladesh was not only an embarrassment for Graeme Smith's side, it also opened up the race for the final semi-final spot in the World Cup. Australia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand all look nailed on to advance, but any of South Africa, West Indies, England and Bangladesh can make the last four.
Victory for South Africa over West Indies in Grenada on Tuesday would make them big favourites to make it but if the hosts can win, it could come down to the final round of group matches.
Having been all but out after their most recent defeat, all of a sudden, things have changed for West Indies and they should be really charged up for a match they almost certainly have to win. They still won't quite be out if they don't but this is their big chance.
Bet365 make South Africa 4/11 (1.44) favourites but West Indies could be worth backing at a tempting 7/4 (2.75).
If West Indies are to win, they will need an all-round good performance but probably also a big innings from their captain, Brian Lara. The left-hander has been in good form but is still not favourite to be his side's top runscorer in Grenada.
That honour goes to Chris Gayle, the explosive opener who has yet to catch fire in this tournament. If he finds form, West Indies will be a threat and he is 10/3 (4.33) favourite.
Lara, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan are all 4/1, while Marlon Samuels is 5/1, Devon Smith 13/2 and Dwayne Bravo 15/2.
Ian Bradshaw, who looks set to return to the side, is a 50/1 shot but will be of more help with the ball.
For South Africa, who had seemed to be cruising before their loss to Bangladesh, Smith and Jacques Kallis are 11/4 joint favourites, with AB de Villiers just behind at 9/2.
Herschelle Gibbs is 5/1, Leon Bosman 6/1 and Ashwell Prince an 8/1 chance.
Grenada is one of the smaller grounds in the Caribbean so expect plenty of runs, but I just have a feeling that West Indies might pinch it.
