Bangladesh get a feel of WC venue

The national cricket team Monday visited the Chelmsford cricket
ground, the venue where Bangladesh will make their maiden appearance
in the World Cup in their group B opener against New Zealand on May
17.
According to a fax message received here yesterday from manager
Tanveer Muzhar Islam, the venue has a capacity of a maximum of four
thousand spectators.
After returning from Chelmsford, the Bangladesh cricketers had a full
practice session yesterday at the Shenley Cricket Club ground, which
is owned the famous Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
Bangladesh, who are now staying at the Jarvis International Hotel,
Watford, will practise in the same ground till their official
schedule begins from May 3. During this period, Bangladesh are likely
to play some unofficial practice matches.
Bangladesh will play their first official practice match against
Essex County Club on May 8. The other two official practice matches
against Middlesex and Northamptonshire are scheduled for May 10 and
12.
