Litchfield finishes things off with another audacious stroke, and that sums up this evening! Full on middle stump. Litchfield unfurls the switch hit and in the end, goes straight back over the bowler's head. A body blow and that is indeed the knockout blow. Litchfield has been superb in this chase, and it was fitting that she was the one to ice this run-chase!
Phoenix vs N S-Chargers, 14th Match at Leeds, Women's Hundred, Aug 15 2025 - Match Result
N S-Chargers won by 8 wickets (with 26 balls remaining)
5:23pm That will be all from us for this game. There is still a Men's Hundred match to be played this evening, and you can follow each ball of that contest here. Until next time, from Sudeep, Vairavan and myself (Shashwat), it is goodbye!
Phoebe Litchfield, Player of the Match: Scoring runs is good fun. Getting another win (for the Superchargers) is equally special. (On the pitch and if it was the best for batting yet) Yeah, for sure. We know it is going to be a good pitch (here). Really nice pitch, and Headingley has done a good job (smiles). They (our spinners) just hit their lengths and kept the stumps in play. We backed them up in the field. Our spinners have done wonders for us over the years and they did it again today. We have had this group together for three years now and it has not changed much. We know each other, sometimes too well (smiles). We had an average game last time. Came out here with a positive mindset and you could see that.
5:17pm An utterly dominant run-chase, spearheaded by Litchfield. She had not set the Women's Hundred alight before today, but did she do that against the Phoenix, who simply had no answers. She accessed every region on the field that could be accessed and some of her stroke-play was breath-taking. The rest also chipped in, but this chase was all about Litchfield and her exceptional stroke-play.
Another day to forget for the Phoenix. They did not have enough runs on the board, and their bowlers were taken apart by Litchfield. They have now lost three in a row, and they have plenty of work to do, with the bat, with the ball and in the field, if they are to turn things around and have a tilt at the playoffs.
Taylor looks good to continue, but Litchfield has a Free hit to tuck in to, with just four more needed...
oh, what has happened here?! Taylor, while she was loading up to bowl, seems to have hurt a finger on her left hand. She looks in a lot of pain too. That is not a good sign, and the physio is out to check on her. The ball rolled along the ground and was called a No ball to add insult to injury
four more! This is full and trying to follow Litchfield outside leg. She still creates room, though (somehow) and smacks it back towards the bowler, who lets the ball go through her hands. Mid off cannot cut it off either!
fifty of the best from Phoebe Litchfield! Angled in on a length on the stumps. Litchfield charges down and nudges it into the vast open spaces on the leg side. Back for a brace, and that brings up a sumptuous half-century!
full just outside leg. Sutherland advances and squeezes it out towards long off
zipped in full on the stumps. Sutherland works it away into the on side and retains strike
slower ball on a back of a length outside off. Sutherland waits on it and punches it crisply to long on's right for a couple of runs
dropped by Baker again! Full outside off. Litchfield throws her hands at it and absolutely laces it. Hits it straight to Baker at sweeper cover, though, but fortunately for her, Baker shells another chance!
smashed! Another attempted slower yorker that ends up as a juicy full toss outside off. Litchfield steps down and crashes it between extra cover and mid off!

dipping full toss wide outside off. Sutherland reaches out for it and jabs it towards deep cover
very slow and following the batter outside leg. Litchfield has to wait for it and dinks it into the on side for a single
fullish outside leg. Sutherland gets to the pitch of this one and eases it to long on
clean strike! Another delivery with a bit of flight, and Sutherland marches down the track. Gets close enough to the ball and thunders it over the bowler's head!
gets this full enough and Litchfield, by advancing, nearly yorks herself. Digs it out towards long on
floaty full delivery on middle and off. Sutherland uses her feet and drives it towards long on
30 off 40, and this run-chase has probably reached that stage where NSC begin to think about net run-rate. Taylor to bowl her third set. Over the wicket
four more - Litchfield is on fire, and in a hurry! Slanted in on a fullish length on leg stump. Litchfield waltzes down the track and boshes it over mid on!
Litchfield is dining out in Leeds! Back of a length outside off. Litchfield unleashes the reverse, rolls her wrists over it and bisects backward point and short third!
shortish outside leg. Sutherland swivels and pulls it towards deep backward square leg
Around the wicket to Sutherland too
fullish on middle and off. Litchfield comes down the track and bunts it towards long off
through the gap! Short and wide, and Litchfield does not miss out. She rocks back and threads it between cover point and backward point!
The Phoenix ask for a time-out, with the Superchargers needing less than run-a-ball. 44 off 45 now. Lamb to roll her arm over. Around the wicket
