Phoebe Litchfield

Phoebe Litchfield was destined for stardom. A clip of her batting in the nets as a 16-year-old for New South Wales went viral in the middle of 2019 and a few months later she made her WBBL debut for Sydney Thunder.

She made her international debut in late 2022 against India in T20Is and early the following year made back-to-back unbeaten half-centuries in her first two ODIs against Pakistan. A maiden hundred came against Ireland followed by another during a prolific tour of India in late 2023.

In the 2024 WPL auction she went for INR 1 crore (USD 120,000 approx) to Gujarat Giants.

Litchfield, who is from Orange in New South Wales, is also one of the best fielders in the game. At the age of 14 she was playing men's cricket. "It helped my career a lot because it fast-tracked my ability to face fast bowling and adapt to that level," she said in a 2021 interview.
