Having beaten India in their opening match, Bangladesh will be out to make it two upsets out of two when they play Sri Lanka on Wednesday, knowing victory would almost certainly assure them of a place in the next stage.
I must say I was pretty impressed by Bangladesh's two opening bowlers against India - Mashrafe Mortaza and Syed Rasel - while Abdur Razzak chipped in with three wickets as well to dismiss the much-vaunted Indian batting line-up to just 191 all out.
Now, India bounced back in style with a record 413-5 against Bermuda to boost their own chances of qualifying, but Bangladesh will be confident as they prepare to face a Sri Lanka team that are capable of playing great, or awful cricket, depening on the day.
Bangladesh have beaten Sri Lanka before - albeit only once - but Mahela Jayawardene's side will still be big favourites to get the second win they need to boost their own chances of advancing to the next stage.
Bet365 make them 1/8 to win it, while Bangladesh are 5/1.
Who'll hit form with the bat?
As usual, the openers top the betting to be top runscorer with bet365 making former skipper Sanath Jayasuriya the 11/4 (3.25) favourite to come out on top.
Upul Tharanga is next at 3/1 while Kumar Sangakkara is 7/2 and captain Jayawardene a 4/1 chance. Then there's a big gap to another former captain, Marvan Atapattu.
As for Bangladesh, opener Shahriar Nafees is favourite at 4/1 while Aftab Ahmed is 9/2 and Tamim Iqbal is 5/1. Saqibul Hasan is 11/2 and Mushfiqur Rahim 6/1, the same price as Habibul Bashar.
And, if Sri Lanka make early inroads, don't rule out Mohammad Ashraful coming out on top at what is a very big looking 18/1.
