Rajshahi moved into the final round of the 24th national cricket championship with a comprehensive 98-run win over Dinajpur in the Thakurgaon zonal final concluded on Tuesday at the Thakurgaon Stadium.
On the final day of the three-day match, Dinajpur, facing a daunting task of scoring 294 in their second innings to win the match, were bundled our for 195 in 67.1 overs with Gary hammering highest 49. Raju chipped in with 45.
Rajshahi's Tareque was the successful bowler of the day capturing three wickets for 30 runs while Bablu, who took five wickets to force Dinajpur end their first innings on 173, and Saad bagged two wickets each.
Earlier, Rajshahi, winning the toss, scored 200 in the first innnigs in 51.3 overs and added another 266 to their credit in 84.3 overs in the second innings.
Meanwhile, the three-day Dhaka zonal final between Comilla and Mymensingh will start at the Dhaka Stadium this morning.
