Ben Nolan-Stone faces his old Portsmouth team-mates when Bashley (Rydal) aim for a regional semi-final slot in the ECB National Club Championship at the BCG this coming Sunday, 2pm.
The former Hampshire YC's all-rounder travelled from his Christchurch home each week to play for Portsmouth under Raj Maru for the past two seasons.
But with his county prospects unfulfilled, Nolan-Stone returned to his old Bashley haunts last month.
He made an impact, scoring a quick-fire 26 as Bashley posted a challenging 197-6 (Chris Sketchley 56) against BAT Sports in the last round. David Banks launched BAT's reply, which culminated with Mark Page needing to score 14 runs off Kevin Nash's final over.
He faced two dot balls, hit ten runs off the next three, then failed to score off the final two balls to leave BAT marooned on 193.
Portsmouth crushed Chichester Priory Park in their second round tie.
Winchester KS received scant reward for a 51-run win over Lymington. They travel to Corsham on Sunday to face a Wiltshire side that knocked South Wilts out in the last round.
Needing 37 off 21 balls to pass South Wilts' 202-8, Corsham got home with a flurry of late boundaries from Wiltshire wicketkeeper Neil Sharlow (58 not out) and Toby Sharpe, the former Bournemouth player.
The winning runs came from a six off the penultimate ball of a match in which Tim Lamb (52) and Rob Wade (34) top scored for the Bemerton boys.
Havant, quarter-finalists last season, got a second round bye when Camberley pulled out and now face Thatcham, conquerors of Andover.
The Nurse brothers Lee (88) and Dean (73 not out) got amongst the runs as Basingstoke & North Hants piled up a towering 319-4 against Hungerford (148-6).
Tomorrow is also third round day in the National Village Championship, with Sparsholt's visit to Easton & Martyr Worthy the pick of the ties.
Dave Birch slammed 130 as Easton thrashed Steep in the last round. Shaun Green grabbed six wickets.
Bramshaw, who pulled off a creditable 47-run win at Eversley, ought to win at Hambledon, while Paultons will be favourites to beat Amport at Whitemoor Lane.
John Robinson (82) and Simon Sargeant (62) inspired Paultons to 200-4 before five-wicket Peter Lamb sent Tichborne Park scurrying to 85 all out.
Hursley Park's interest ended with a 44-run defeat by Amport.
