Comfortable wins for Ra'anana 2 and Lod in Division 2

Ra'anana 2 began their league campaign in impressive fashion with an easy 7-wicket win over Lions Be'er Sheva, who have now lost their first two games, in Be'er Sheva on Friday. The hosts were dismissed for just 112, with Josh Evans (4/34) and Anthony Harris (3/30) doing the damage, with Mikki Cohen (35) top-scoring as Ra'anana chased down their target for the loss of three wickets. The fixture between Lod and Petah Tikva followed a similar pattern. Petah Tikva, playing their first game in the domestic league after an absence of many years, were bundled out for just 114, with Avner Waskar taking 3/16 with his accurate medium pacers. Madhukar (56*) led his team to their target for the loss of just two wickets.

In the Division 1 fixture of the weekend, the Israel X1 were far too strong for Be'er Sheva in Be'er Sheva on Saturday. Batting first, Israel compiled 272/5 in 38 overs, with Itamar Kehimkar showing good form with 72*, and Yaniv Razpurker and Dovi Myers both contributing 45. Israel U19 bowler Shifron Waskar then took four for 22 and Razpurker chipped in with three for 21, as the hosts were all out for just 124.
