CricInfo continues to make mark in New Zealand

Traffic on the New Zealand site of CricInfo, nzcricket.co.nz, has grown by 20 million page impressions in each of the last two years.
The traffic figures to New Zealand's most popular sport site show that 73,222,818 impressions were made during the year, up from 53,271,689 in 2001.
Since the site was established in mid-1997 total traffic has been 196,342,106.
Not included among the statistics are items generated during New Zealand's hosting of the CricInfo Women's World Cup in 2000 and the ICC Under-19 World Cup in 2002 which were serviced by New Zealand's office but registered on different mechanisms. Had they been included New Zealand's traffic would be over 200 million.
Of the traffic in 2002, the month of December was the best month in the site's history with 32,159,780 impressions, beating the previous best month of March 2001 when Pakistan were on tour.
The second Test against India, resulted in well over 11 million impressions, following up a total of over nine million for the first Test.
Visitors to the New Zealand Cricket home page for 2002 were also significantly up. The total was 1,967,557, up from 1,069,004 in 2001.
Visitors in December 2002 totalled 291,995 which was the third best month for the NZC site in its history.
New Zealand's domestic sites for the six Major Associations have achieved outstanding growth over the past 12 months.
Northern Districts achieved a growth of 174%, Canterbury 129%, Wellington 115%, Otago 100%, Central Districts 52% and Auckland 49%.
Central Districts and Northern Districts achieved their best months in December 2002 while Auckland, Canterbury, Otago and Wellington each managed their best months in November 2002.
Central Districts experienced three successive record months to end the year while Northern Districts had five record months in a row, stretching back to August.
