A new pattern is emerging in the top Danish League after this weekend's results. Last year it was a two horse race between Svanholm and Herning, where Svanholm won yet again just by a nose.
This year neither side are in the running yet. It is Nørrebro the Pakistani side from Copenhagen who are unbeaten after three matches. This weekend Nørrebro dispatched Glostrup whose wonderbatsman Peter Thomsen failed agian to make any impact.
The club has no home ground or decent training facilities, yet they win. This is due to the fact the "King of Nørrebro" Aftab Ahmed is in form for the first time in two years. He is scoring runs and this he proved playing for Denmark in the Nat West scoring 94.
Whether or not they can hang on is an exciting prospect as the "Dark horse" Skanderborg are just behind after they surprised by beating Herning quite confidently.
Svanholm beat KB in the rain so they are still there and Svanholm will prove themselves in Jutland next week. Herning however are hampered this season by several injuries as well as Svanholm may have lost Thomas Hansen yet again to a contract in England.
In the First Division Ishøj and Husum are undefeated at the top and look like fighting it out for promotion. Alberslund finally got off the ground with a convincing win against Fredericia who slumped this weekend after a good start to the season with two defeats. Svanholm II, Nykøbing and Århus all won while Køge like Fredericia had a bad weekend and drop down the table.
The two bottom sides Ringsted and Kerteminde fought it out and Kerteminde are still without a win and lie isolated at the bottom.
