India get their first chance to show everyone just how serious contenders they are for World Cup glory when they play their opening match of the tournament on Saturday against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh beat New zealand in their final warm-up game and have proved in the past year that they are developing into a decent side.
However, India are a class above and as long as they play anywhere close to their best they will surely prevail, especially as they will receive plenty of support in Trinidad, an island with a large Indian population.
Bet365 make India 1/7 (1.14) to come through while Bangladesh are 7/1 (8.00).
Sourav Ganguly is favourite to be India's top runscorer in the match after a successful run of form since he returned to the side. The left-hander has bags of experience and at the top of the order seems free to cut loose. He is 10/3.
Sachin Tendulkar, captain Rahul Dravid and Robin Uthappa are all next at 4/1 and to be honest we probably don't have to look too much further down, as the likes of Mahendra Dhoni (10/1) and even Yuvraj Singh (7/1) may not get too much time in the middle.
For Bangladesh, Aftab Ahmed is the 7/2 favourite, with Shahriar Nafees 4/1, Habibul Bashir 5/1 and Javed Omar 6/1. Saqibul Hasan is 13/2, the same price as the extremely talented Mohammad Ashraful.
In fact, Ashraful could well be the value, even though he bats down at number six. India's bowlers are likely to make some early inroads at the top of the order, so he should not be penalised by batting down the order in this case, making 13/2 a big price.
Cambers' Call:
Mohammad Ashraful to be top Bangladesh runscorer
