The Hong Kong Cricket Association will start using a new system called ResultsVault to help manage its cricket operations for the 2010-11 cricket season and beyond. ResultsVault is a comprehensive sports management system that will allow the HKCA to directly manage players, competitions, statistics, communications and its website in a way that will considerably streamline operations and tasks.
"Historically, we've had a number people working on the various tasks needed to manage all the cricket competitions in Hong Kong. ResultsVault will handle all these tasks in a single system with a minimum of data-entry effort," said HKCA General Manager, Danny Lai. "What's more, we'll be able to deliver much more real-time information to players, Clubs and administrators alike via the updated website," he added.
Initially, the ResultsVault system will be used to manage all the HKCA's senior competitions, including the Saturday League, Sunday League, Sunday Cup and Women's League. Junior leagues and school leagues will be added to the system later.
The HKCA has already started using ResultsVault to capture player registration information, update Club contacts and enter competition fixtures. Once the key information has been entered in the system, the HKCA will conduct training seminars to show Clubs, players and umpires how to maximise their use of the system.
ResultsVault has been embedded into the HKCA's existing website at
www.cricket.com.hk. Visitors to the website will be able to access the ResultsVault pages by clicking on the ResultsVault link in the menu or simply by selecting to view fixtures, results or statistics for any competition in 2010-11 season and beyond.
Andrew Walton, Director of Sales and Marketing for InteractSport, owners of ResultsVault and SportzVault sports management systems, said "We are delighted to partner with the HKCA to bring ResultsVault to the cricket community of Hong Kong."
"The partnership through the delivery of the ResultsVault Cricket service to Hong Kong Cricket Association is further progress for InteractSport into the Asian sporting region joining Singapore, Thailand, Shanghai and Papua New Guinea as clients. With cricket noticeably achieving growth in this region the need for quality management systems that are web based becomes essential so that all participants have access to knowledge and information", he added.
InteractSport is the leading provider of online sports management solutions in Australia through its 100% web based ResultsVault and SportzVault products. In 2008 InteractSport was selected by Cricket Australia to provide services, under the MyCricket brand, to over 5,000 affiliated organisations covering more than 500,000 participants. As the most successful rollout of its kind in Australia, MyCricket has rapidly attained near universal acceptance becoming a significant commercial and game development asset for Cricket Australia and the respective state governing bodies.
