The Hong Kong cricket team has departed for a 9-day tour to Colombo, Sri Lanka. The tour, which includes four matches against teams from the Sri Lanka Academy, forms part of the hong Kong team's preparation for the upcoming ICC World Cricket League Division 4 tournament in Tanzania during 4-10 October 2008.
The team traveling to Sri Lanka is the same as that announced to go to Tanzania, namely Tabarak Dar (Captain), Najeeb Amar (Vice Captain), Irfan Ahmed, Nadeem Ahmed, Munir Dar, Butt Hussain, Zain Abbas, Skhawat Ali, Ilyas Gul, Shakeel Haq, Nizakat Khan, Roy Lamsam, Afzaal Haider, Nasir Hameed, plus two reserves Niaz Ali and Zuiad Khan. National coach Aftab Habib and Team Manager Sher Lama complete the tour party.

10th Sep 2008 : Training Session from 2-5PM at BRC (Burger Recreation Club)
11th Sep 2008 : 1st Match HKG vs Sri Lanka Academy Team at R. Premadasa Stadium
12th Sep 2008 : Training Session from 9:30AM to 12:30PM at BRC and 3-5PM Side Wicket practice
13th Sep 2008 : 2nd Match HKG vs Sri Lanka Academy Team at R Premadasa Stadium
14th Sep 2008 : Training Session at Fingara indoor Facilitiy from 10AM to 12PM
15th Sep 2008 : 3rd Match HKG vs SrI Lanka Academy at BRC
16th Sep 2008 : Training session from 10AM to 12PM at MOORS Ground (center wicket training)
17th Sep 2008 : Final Match HKG vs Sri Lanka Academy at MOORS Ground
