The ICC has confirmed that the Group D match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe in the ICC Cricket World Cup, scheduled for Sabina Park, Jamaica on Wednesday, will go ahead.
The confirmation followed a meeting between the Pakistan team management and officials from the local police, the ICC and Cricket World Cup on Tuesday evening.
The Pakistan management indicated they were comfortable with the arrangements surrounding the team and that the match would take place.
The match is scheduled to get under way at 0930 local time and will be preceded by a minute's silence as a mark of respect for former Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer, who passed away on Sunday.
The encounter will be Pakistan's final match in the tournament following defeats to hosts the West Indies and Ireland. Zimbabwe requires victory to give itself a chance of qualification for the Super Eights stage.
