Inaugural Test with Bangladesh postponed

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) today announced that, after on-going discussions with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), it has been agreed that it will not be possible for England to play an inaugural Test Match against Bangladesh either at the end of this year or in early 2001 before the England team departs for its tour to Sri Lanka.

At this late stage, it was not possible to find a mutually convenient date and the BCB will now examine alternative options for playing their inaugural Test Match.
