The two-day meeting of the Asian Cricket Foundation, slated to be held
in Kolkata from July 31, has been postponed, ACF chairman Jagmohan
Dalmiya said in Kolkata on Sunday. "We have received a letter from
the ICC's Development Committee stating it will hold its session in
Amsterdam on September 10-11. The letter says that the agenda of the
meeting will be given to us after about a week from now," Dalmiya
said.
Dalmiya said the new dates for the ACF meeting would be fixed after
receiving the agenda from the ICC.
The ACF is scheduled to finalise a panel of Development Officers from
India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka for deputing them on coaching
assignments to nations like Hong Kong, Nepal, Maldives, Singapore and
Qatar where the game was still in a nascent stage. It would also
discuss other issues pertaining to the development of cricket in the
region.
A Nanda Kishore will lead the Hyderabad Cricket Association XI in the
KSCA Diamond Jubilee tournament for the Coromandel Cement Trophy,
currently being played at Bangalore. He will also lead the side in the
All India Buchi Babu invitation tournament in Chennai.
Earlier, former Test left arm spinner Venkatapathy Raju was named as
captain. But he made himself unavailable for the two tournaments.
Ramakrishna will replace Raju in the squad.
