Media accreditation process for ICC Champions Trophy 2004 opens today
The media accreditation process for the ICC Champions Trophy England 2004 is now open
ICC Media Release
15-Jun-2004
The media accreditation process for the ICC Champions Trophy England 2004 is now open.
The tournament runs from 10-25 September at three venues in England - Edgbaston, The Oval and The Rose Bowl - and accreditation is required for all UK and international media planning to attend the event.
There are three steps for media to follow to obtain accreditation for the event:
Step one - complete an application form
Step two - advise of intended match attendance
Step three - be aware that there may be re-accreditation for the finals
Completed forms must be returned by 9 July 2004.
1. Completing the application form
The application form and full Terms and Conditions are available on the ICC website at www.icc.cricket.org/championstrophy.
All media applicants are requested to fill in and sign the application form and attach two passport-sized colour photos before sending directly to Rushmans (the address is on application form).
Please ensure that your name is clearly written on the back of both of the photographs and please note that you are also required to submit a supporting letter from your employer with your form.
Media will be notified of the success or otherwise of their application before the end of July. This notification will be sent by email so a valid email address must be supplied.
Please read the Terms and Conditions before submitting your form. All applications must be received by Rushmans not later than 9 July 2004.
You will need to have Acrobat Reader to open the application form (this can be downloaded free if you do not have it). If you are having problems accessing the form, please contact the ICC and we will email or fax it directly to you.
UK media should be aware that they will not be able to gain entry to the matches with ECB accreditation.
2. Intended match attendance
Due to the number of matches taking place in a short timescale and the anticipated level of media interest, media are requested to indicate which matches they are planning to attend (at this stage this is only for indicative purposes). There is form on the website that can be used for this purpose and this should be attached to the application form.
It will be assumed for planning purposes that media that do not complete this form only want to attend matches involving their `home' nation.
3. Re-accreditation for semi-finals and final
There will be a re-accreditation process for the final of the event (and possibly the semi-finals). This process will be announced during the course of the tournament.
If you have any problems or queries relating to the accreditation process please contact Caroline Pearson at Rushmans.
