Media Release - Cricket "Origin" teams named
Queensland Cricket
Australian World Cup player Adam Dale will head the City challenge next
month when Queensland Cricket stages it's "Place of Origin" match in
Townsville between City and Country.
Dale, the only Queensland player in the Australian squad that clinched
the World Cup in England in June, will return from the One Day

Origin match on September 11 and 12.
The City team will be captained by XXXX Queensland Bulls allrounder
Scott Prestwidge, and contains fellow Bulls players Scott Muller,
Brendan Creevey and Lee Carseldine. The City team has a heavy

Brisbane XXXX First Grade champions in the team.
Country will be captained by Bulls opener Jimmy Maher and includes
Australian quick Andy Bichel and fellow Bulls squad members Wade
Seccombe, Matthew Anderson and Ashley Noffke.
Included in the Country side is exciting Townsville left-arm pace bowler
Mitchell Johnson who continues his meteoric rise after coming from the
clouds to win a place in the Australian Under-19 team currently touring
England.
