Dave Mohammed's seven-wicket burst put Trinidad & Tobago in a strong position at the end of the third day of the Carib Beer Cup at Crab Hill. Resuming the day on 120 for 1, Barbados were spun out for just 206 as Mohammed ran through the middle order in quick time to pick up his second five-wicket haul in first-class cricket. Dale Richards top-scored for Barbados with 66. Daren Ganga lead the T&T reply with 52 as they ended the third day on 156 for 7, with a lead of 230.

Stuart Williams's 145 helped Leeward Islands seize control of their game against Guyana at Nevis. After extending their total to 317, Leeward Islands kept Guyana down to 118 for 8 and gave themselves a chance of wrapping up the game on the final day. None of the Guyana batsmen kicked on to a big score and struggled against the offspin of Omari Banks, who ended with 3 for 41.

Despite conceding an 87-run lead, the Windward bowlers struck back superblyand reduced Jamaica to 28 for 4 Carlton Baugh and David Bernard added 60 but both fell before stumps were drawn as Jamaica stared at a big defeat.
