Recently, Andy Moles has been linked with the coaching vacancy at his old county Warwickshire, but he told The Scotsman that even if he does replace John Inverarity, he wants to remain as Scotland's coach.
Moles is expected to travel to Edgbaston to be interviewed in the next fortnight, but whatever happens, he said that he wants to see through his plans to hold a global academy in South Africa at the end of the year.
Moles's contract with Scotland expires at the end of the month, and he told the newspaper that nothing had been agreed. "My future has still not been decided and nothing will happen until after we play Warwickshire next Sunday. But even if I do end up leaving I still want to head up the academy in Pretoria because I've been heavily involved in getting it off the ground.
"At first it was going to be an exclusively Scottish Academy but the ICC is piggy-backing on the idea and that's fine because they are also helping finance it."
The academy will host eight Scotland players, while other countries will be restricted to four each.
