Table-Topping Darwen have the luxury of an unchanged side for their
trip to Lancaster tomorrow.
The Birch Hall men maintained their unbeaten record in a
nerve-jangler against bottom-placed Leyland DAF last Monday but face
an unknown quantity in Pakistani professional Raj Hans.
Chairman Peter Lamster said: "We have won more at the end of May than
we did for the whole of last season.
"We generally have a good start to the season. Hopefully this year
our results will continue throughout the season."
Three straight wins have lifted Chorley into second place and they
will be aiming to keep up the pressure on leaders Darwen when
Morecambe visit Windsor Park tomorrow.
On Sunday, Chorley renew rivalry with Blackpool at Stanley Park in
the regional semi-final of the National Cup. Both clubs are previous
winners of the national championship and Chorley have won twice at
Blackpool in recent years en-route to the final at Lords.
In the national competition Blackpool have an advantage of being able
to play professional Marcus Sharp, whereas Chorley's in-form paceman
Josh Marquet is ineligible.
