Pakistan will come to India to play a one-day international match on November 14 this year, to commemorate the jubilee celebration of the Indian board. A Reuters report said that India had wanted to host Pakistan, in particular, because at the time the board was formed, 75 years ago, the two countries were united.
Shaharyar Khan, confirming the development, said to Reuters, "They wanted us to play a series of three matches as part of their jubilee celebrations in November. But we opted for the one-off game."
November 14 happens to be the birthday of India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, though it is unlikely that the constitution of the board would have had anything to do with this. The day had been designated Children's Day by the Indian government, because Nehru liked children, and as children liked cricket, everything falls perfectly into place.
