Vaughan to miss first Cornhill Test through injury

Dean Conway, England Team's physiotherapist, today confirmed that Michael
Vaughan has fractured the knuckle on his left hand and that the injury will
require the Yorkshire batsman to rest for a minimum of three to four weeks.
It means that Vaughan will not be available for selection for the First
Cornhill Test Match against Zimbabwe, which begins on Thursday 18 May.
Vaughan was struck on his hand yesterday by Derbyshire's Matthew Cassar
whilst playing in the current PPP healthcare County Championship match at
Headingley. He retired hurt and was sent for X-rays where a fracture of the
fifth meticarpal was confirmed. It is not yet known if he will be available
for selection for the Second Cornhill Test Match which begins on Thursday 1 June.
