0.3 to R Dravid, and he gets his man very early! The big wicket of Dravid! A beautiful delivery lands on off and moves the slightest bit, Dravid defends and the ball shaves the edge through to Carlton Baugh, a tame dismissal and West Indies have struck rich in just the first over, the ploy to begin with Smith's dobblers pays off. 1/1 2.1 to V Sehwag, oh geez, he's struck twice! Wow! This pitches on a full length on off, moves in, Sehwag's feet go nowhere instead of forward, the ball just stays low and knocks back off stump, another tame dismissal but this was a man out of form, he has to go back and West Indies have knocked down two of India's big guns, well done Dwayne Smith!. 6/2 8.5 to SK Raina, gone! A good ball, seam position worked, pitched outside off and Raina pokes at it, ball takes a thick outside edge and goes straight into Gayle's lap at slip, West Indies make further inroads. 38/3 10.3 to Yuvraj Singh, a huge nick and its four to Smith! A good-length ball on off, stands up a bit and surprises Yuvraj whose feet go nowhere, tries to get the bottom hand of the bat but the ball nicks the outer edge and goes through to a gleeful Baugh, another one bites the dust and India in serious trouble here. 38/4
8 | 1 | 41 | 1 | 5.12 | 36 | 7 | 0 | 7 | 0 | |
15.2 to MS Dhoni, The three-fingered celebratory salute is on show! Collymore takes out Dhoni. Full, straight and Dhoni throws his bat at it. But the ball evades the flashing blade and crashes into the stumps. To say that India is in some trouble would be a understatement.. 69/5
6 | 0 | 16 | 1 | 2.66 | 25 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
19.5 to AB Agarkar, What an orgasmic slower ball! It was delivered between his thumb and forefinger and it loops up, Agarkar is almost in a trance as the ball dips right in front of the middle stump and goes on to kiss it. Bravo runs with his arms extended for his celebratory run. Why not, that one must have given him real pleasure.. 78/6

35.4 to Harbhajan Singh, wicket! Lands on a short length outside off, perhaps a little too close for that shot, he went for a square cut and got the thinnest of edges which Baugh did supremely well to snap, Harbhajan doesnt wait for the umpire's verdict and walks, his resistance ends and India are now seven down, Gayle gets a wicket to his name. 156/7 39.1 to RP Singh, bowled 'em! Beaten for pace, he goes back when he shouldnt have, played the wrong trajectory, basically, and the ball doesnt spin much and goes on low to knock back middle stump, an easy wicket for Gayle, who has two now, and West Indies carry on their success over this hapless Indian side here. 160/9

18.3 to MN Samuels, Gets his line and length right this time and is rewarded with a wicket. But Samuels also helped him to an extent with a nothing shot. It was a length-delivery, on the off stump and came in a touch. Samuels stays back at the crease, his bat comes down in an angle and late at that and is caught right in front.. 63/4 22.5 to DR Smith, Inside-edge onto the pads but given out lbw. Fullish delivery, on the off and middle stump line, coming in a touch and Smith pushes at it outside the line and gets an inside edge but not spotted by the umpire.. 83/6
10 | 1 | 31 | 2 | 3.10 | 44 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
12.2 to S Chanderpaul, first wicket goes! A very soft dismissal, banged in short, Chanderpaul moves into position to pull, ball hurries on him, his head goes one way, eyes the other, and all he can end up doing is cramping himself into a loose shot that spoons up in the air and Sehwag moves in from square leg to take a dolly, Munaf gets a vital breakthrough, Chanderpaul goes, and India must capitalise on this. 44/1 14.6 to RR Sarwan, edged and taken! This lands on a sweet spot outside off stump, pitches and kicks a little, Sarwan is taken by the bounce as he looks to cut, the ball cramped him as well and he can only feather an edge through to Dhoni, Munaf strikes again. 52/2
8 | 0 | 25 | 2 | 3.12 | 35 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
15.5 to RS Morton, Bit of juggle in the slips and a team-effort to get the wicket. Morton flashes at one outside the off stump, the extra bounce produces the edge and the ball flies to left of Dravid who fails to take it cleanly, the ball bounds off his palms but Dhoni moves quickly to his right to take the catch.. 58/3 40.6 to CD Collymore, all over, thats it! A quick, good length delivery on middle and leg, Collymore is just rooted at the crease and gets hit in line, that one did keep slightly low, looks likely to take leg stump, every Indian goes up in appeal and the umpire slowly raises his finger! Sreesanth gets the final wicket, India have won by 16 runs, they've done their shot at the finals no harm. 146/10
5 | 0 | 27 | 1 | 5.40 | 21 | 4 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
21.2 to CH Gayle, Another one goes down. It landed on a length, just outside the off stump and comes in with the natural left-armer's angle. Gayle is caught at the crease, waves his bat across the line, doesn't connect and is plumb in front. Another nothing shot.. 70/5
8 | 0 | 35 | 3 | 4.37 | 30 | 4 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
27.3 to DJ Bravo, stumped! After getting nearly out, Bravo tries repeating another adventure down the track and is decieved by a doosra. His back feet is on the line, and instead of dragging his feet back to safety, he tries to turn and get his bat inside the crease and that gives enough time for Dhoni to whip off the bails.. 96/7 33.6 to WW Hinds, And they were two. Well-flighted delivery, on the middle stump line, Hinds shapes to work it away across the line, gets an leading edge and Harbhajan takes an easy return catch. A long vigil from Hinds comes to an end.. 118/8 39.2 to CS Baugh, he's gone! Tossed up outside off, its the arm ball, Baugh is leaden-footed as he has been for most of his innings, stands there and pokes at it, the ball kisses the edge and pops into Dravid's hands, he takes a good catch and West Indies are nine down, we have a cracker here. 145/9 |
