10.6 to L Ronchi, not quite sure what he was attempting there? Length ball on off, Ronchi mistimes a drive that pops up straight to mid off, easy catch.. 60/2
9 | 0 | 33 | 3 | 3.66 | 36 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
16.1 to CL White, PLUMB...absolutely plumb. Full ball pitches on middle and straightens hitting White below the knee roll in front of middle, would have hit middle half way up. The ball did keep low but White was simply beaten for pace and swing there.. 79/4 16.6 to PJ Hughes, length ball outside off, Hughes chases it and gets a thick edge to second where Jayawardene takes a great catch above his head. 81/5 37.6 to AA Noffke, slower ball, pitched full on middle, hits the back pad before clattering into the stumps, a great change-up from Malinga. A good effort from Noffke to get the PM's XI to a respectable and, just possibly, a defendable total.. 152/10
8 | 0 | 27 | 2 | 3.37 | 36 | 4 | 0 | 3 | 0 | |
9.4 to SE Marsh, fourth time lucky, Marsh chases a wide ball again and gets a healthy outside edge that carries easily to second slip who takes a good catch.. 49/1 11.2 to LA Pomersbach, full well outside off, Pomersbach chases it and gets a faint edge, the keeper takes a good catch at head height. 60/3
8 | 1 | 37 | 3 | 4.62 | 31 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
21.4 to DJ Hussey, length ball outside off, tries to push through the off side but gets an inside edge that crashes into leg stump. Foot movement was non-existent.. 97/6 25.2 to CJ Ferguson, length ball outside off, fends at it and gets a healthy nick straight to Jayawardene...catch number 3 for him I believe. 101/7 27.5 to BW Hilfenhaus, length ball on off, may have been a slower ball, but Hilfenhaus pops up to cover, a very soft dismissal. 115/8
5 | 0 | 13 | 1 | 2.60 | 20 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
36.6 to DE Bollinger, length ball on off, gets between bat and pad as Bollinger is caught on the crease, takes the top of off. Good little cameo by big Dougie.. 148/9 |

17.5 to KC Sangakkara, fullish, pitching on off and cutting back into the lefty, hits him on the back pad right in front of middle as he plays forward, plumb and the umpire does not hesitate to fire him. 93/3 19.6 to DPMD Jayawardene, great catch at first slip! Fullish on off, he fends at it and catches a thickish edge and White takes a good catch low to his right.. 105/4

16.3 to ST Jayasuriya, not quite full enough to drive, he skies it straight up to cover point, relatively straight forward catch there to Hughes. An important breakthrough but it looks to be too little too late.. 85/2
6 | 1 | 24 | 1 | 4.00 | 26 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 1 | |
7.1 to WU Tharanga, pitched on off and straightened, just takes the side of off stump after Tharanga leaves it...they must have put another coat of vanish on it last night, the bail thought about staying on but in the end just dropped off. 29/1

24.6 to LPC Silva, full on middle, sweeps in the air right out to the deep square leg boundary, would have been six but was well caught by Hughes. 124/5 26.6 to CK Kapugedera, hit that well, but straight to the fielder, good catch considering how fast it was moving!!. 134/6
