There's the breakthrough for Ireland, Jayasuriya goes for the sweep and is taken on the inside of the front pad...big appeal from McCallan and Tony Hill raises his finger. Jayasuriya isn't happy and that breaks an important stand. 81/3 13.5 to LPC Silva, another goes, this time the sweep proves the downfall as a top edge goes straight down Rankin's throat at deep square-leg. 17.3 to J Mubarak, another wicket at a good time for Ireland, Mubarak went for a pull and gets a big top edge that loops high on the off side, Niall O'Brien calls for it and takes the catch easily. 126/5 17.6 to DPMD Jayawardene, gone! Cusack strikes again and this is the big one. Jayawardene gives himself room to go through the off side, but he misses and Cusack hits.. 128/6 19.2 to AD Mathews, gone! The golden spell from Cusack continues as he castles Mathews, who tried to sweep this fine but missed...Cusack has just stuck to bowling straight and it has worked. 139/8 19.5 to M Muralidaran, and another! Murali can only last one ball, has a big swing at a full toss, misses, and Niall O'Brien brings off another superb stumping. His glovework has been outstanding in this tournament. 140/9 | ||||||||||
