Tasmania 500 and 183 for 5 (Bevan 91*) lead Western Australia 9 for 331 dec (Goodwin 138, Campbell 51, Wright 4-61) by 352 runs

Murray Goodwin made a superb 138, but Michael Bevan responded with an unbeaten 90 as Tasmania took charge of their Pura Cup match against Western Australia at Perth. At close of play on the third day, they led by 352, with five wickets still in hand.

Beginning the day on 2 for 177, the Warriors lost an early wicket when Marcus North was dismissed without adding to his overnight 59, but Goodwin went on to score a hundred, and was well supported by Ryan Campbell, who made 51. Damien Wright took four wickets to restrict the total, though, and the Warriors declared on 9 for 331.

Tasmania then slumped to 4 for 93, but Bevan followed his first-innings 190 with another substantial knock to ensure that his team had a chance of forcing a win on the final day.
