Bangladesh v England

At Dhaka, November 10, 2003 (day/night)

15-Apr-2004
At Dhaka, November 10, 2003 (day/night). England won by seven wickets. Toss: Bangladesh. One-day international debut: Moniruzzaman.
For the fourth one-day international in five, Flintoff walked off with the match award, as Bangladesh were overwhelmed in a carbon-copy of their defeat at Chittagong. Once again, they won the toss, chose to bat, and floundered after a wretched top-order collapse. Johnson and Anderson grabbed two wickets each in the first ten overs, and at seven for four the match looked over. Rajin Saleh and Mushfiqur Rahman, however, compiled a safety-first partnership of 53 in 20 overs, and Bangladesh batted out their full quota of overs for the only time in the series. But a target of 135 was small change for Flintoff. After three early wickets, he thumped an unbeaten 70 from 47 balls, and in the process equalled Botham's England one-day record of 44 sixes. As yet another defeat unfolded in front of them, the crowd found alternative entertainment in bonfires and food fights.
Man of the Match: A. Flintoff.
