Zimbabwe v Bangladesh, 2014-15

Wisden's review of the fourth ODI, Zimbabwe v Bangladesh, 2014-15

15-Apr-2015
At Mirpur, November 28, 2014 (day/night). Fourth one-day international: Bangladesh won by 21 runs. ‡Bangladesh 256-8 (50 overs (Mahmudullah 82*, Mushfiqur Rahim 77, Mashrafe bin Mortaza 39; N. Madziva 3-60, S. F. Mire 3-49); Zimbabwe 235-8 (50 overs) (B. R. M. Taylor 63, S. F. Mire 52). MoM: Mahmudullah. ODI debut: Jubair Hossain (Bangladesh). Zimbabwe finally made a game of it, passing 200 for the first time in the series, although it wasn't enough. Bangladesh had slipped to 32-4, but were rescued by Mahmudullah, who put on 134 for the fifth wicket with Mushfiqur, and 65 for the eighth in eight overs with Mashrafe bin Mortaza. Zimbabwe made a decent start, and a fourth-wicket stand of 106 between Taylor and newcomer Solomon Mire gave them hope. But they fell in successive overs, Chigumbura was out for four, and the tail was unable to close the deal.
