Zimbabwe finally made a game of it, passing 200 for the first time in the series, although it wasn't enough. Bangladesh had slipped to 32-4, but were rescued by Mahmudullah, who put on 134 for the fifth wicket with Mushfiqur, and 65 for the eighth in eight overs with Mashrafe bin Mortaza. Zimbabwe made a decent start, and a fourth-wicket stand of 106 between Taylor and newcomer Solomon Mire gave them hope. But they fell in successive overs, Chigumbura was out for four, and the tail was unable to close the deal.
