India are set to play three ODIs and two Twenty20 internationals in Zimbabwe from July 10 to 19. A BCCI insider confirmed that the three ODIs would be played on July 10, 12 and 14 and the T20s on July 17 and 19.
Alistair Campbell, Zimbabwe Cricket's managing director of cricket, told NewsDay that all the games will be played in Harare. He also stated that India will arrive in Zimbabwe on July 7 and leave on July 20. The fixtures are likely to be announced officially later this week.
It is understood that the BCCI has not raised a formal objection to Ten Sports being the host broadcaster of ZC, and the series will be relayed on the Essel Group-owned channel. In the wake of the Essel Group's possibility of floating a global rebel cricket league, doubts had been raised over the BCCI agreeing to tour a country that is associated with Ten Sports. But the BCCI hasn't created a hurdle for a tour that is the biggest grosser for cash-starved ZC.
India had previously travelled to Zimbabwe in July-August 2013 when they had whitewashed the five-ODI series, which was split between Harare and Bulawayo.
