I feel that Dhoni is one of the worst captains in test cricket. He might be a very good captain in other formats but not in test cricket. He is overrated as a test batsmen. I don't even remember when he has won a overseas match for us. His decisions are horrible. He never motivates the team. He just plays the test match as if he doesn't have any plan. I just feel that this was the test match we could have won.

With Smith captain for his first match, we could have put lot more pressure on him. But one we gave him so much confidence. I will be extremely unhappy if Dhoni Captains in another test series.

its silly to blame dhoni..yes he is defensive but what choice does he have? does he have a mitchell johnson or a steyn? no!! but he does have a ishant sharma who even after playing 50+ tests and doing literally nothing gets d backing of the selectors..dhoni and the management are running out of excuses and hence u hear the 'lamest' excuse ever - the practice pitch!! India has pace in umesh and aaron but how did that turn out?

Selectors who is consistently keeping Dhoni as test captain irrespective of his results are doing a crime to the country! He has a demoralizing influence on other players esp fast bowlers. We have seen him replacing a fast bowler just when he get a wicket, whether it's a sreesanth , Zaheer khan or ishant. We again see another player defining performance (vijay) goes into nothing. As amazing he is as an captain in shorter formats he is as liability in tests esp overseas.

I had pointed out at the end if the second day's play that it was a moot point whether India would be able to take the match to a fifth day; they won't. Another whitewash is imminent. Doubt whether Rohit Sharma will be dropped, even though he deserves to be. The same old mistakes, every time.... I am an MSD fan, but perhaps it's time to let Kohli take over the reins in Tests, and let him be groomed for full captaincy in all formats. India is finding innovative excuses for losses: haven't ever heard of this practice pitch one. Pity Rohit was not the one to get injured, then Kohli would have made a big score, and Rohit would have a ready excuse.
