Rajapaksa looks for a hoick, but ends up spooning it straight up. Dabare sprints in quickly and has to put in a dive forward to complete the catch. Mendis swung his bat more times than the runs he scored and eventually falls for 3 off 9. Bangs the short ball outside off, Mathews looks for a half-hearted pull but all he can get is a thick inside-edge that disturbs his off pole. Ngarava celebrates.. 16/3 5.6 to PW Hasaranga, Hasaranga departs and Kandy's innings goes from bad to worse! Angles the ball in and cramps the batter for room. Tossed up by Shamsi and Bandara looks to scythed this over extra cover, but doesn't fine the connection he wants and only goes to Akila at wide long-off. 84/8 16.5 to I Udana, Shamsi has the last laugh though! Traps Udana plumb in the crease with a leg break that was pushed through on a good length. Udana takes the review, but this looked gone for all money.
