Overview

Hornsey CC have played at their home since 1870, although there is evidence of a club under that name as early as 1842 playing at a variety of other grounds in the neighbourhood. The club was formed by several players from Highgate School and has traditionally had close links with them. The ground itself was used once by Middlesex when they played Hampshire in 1959 (Lord's was being used for the Varsity match). In the last war it was also home to London Counties CC and Old Merchant Taylors.
