Luke Evans is a 6ft 7ins seamer who was unable to force his way into the Durham side. He impressed in a loan spell at Northamptonshire in 2010, and was subsequently signed on a permanent deal. Evans was ravaged by injury but ended the 2012 season strongly after a successful back operation.
