Sheridan Raynor played only one first-class match - against the touring New Zealanders in 1971-72 - but he was one of the islands most influential and talented cricketers in an era before they had much international exposure. It was said that Garry Sobers once asked for him to be given a trial for the West Indies but that this was refused on the grounds that Bermudans were not eligible to play for them. He was inducted into the Bermuda Sporting Hall of Fame and in worked as a taxi driver and spray mechanic.
