Yes, Great Sammy! His contribution was as a captain. They wouldn't have won without him, I'm sure.
mark nicholas should apologise deeply and humbly
Winner Takes it All. It was for the taking for the team wanting most. WI after their sufferings with board, the racism they are meted by aussies and british, made them invincible. This team has the unity, the character and the will to be winners. Lets Salute the brave hearts.
So so good, can't help but smile seeing good old England trip at the final hurdle. Ah well they'll bounce back, they have a mighty fine coach who is clearly getting results. I just wished the infighting from the various members of the WICB would end and they would put their best players out on the park for all formats of the game. Get the best players out there, pay them what they deserve and the rest will take care of itself. Test cricket needs a strong Caribbean end of story.
I would wanted to see WI loosing the toss & batting first defending the total . This WC esp at knock out stages, Toss played big role in teams victories. Nothing flashy about WI all the teams are talented.
champion west indies history once again made to wjn under 19 n men n women t20 titles in the same year superb
@CRICWAR4184, Great Sammy? With 8 runs from 3 innings and 31 runs from 3 overs this tournament...maybe great cheering from the sideline, that's about it.
Oh..What a win!! I am reminded of Sir Clive Lloyd's great invincible WI team of the seventies. Breathtaking match and performance.
I don't think so we will see these guys again playing together. We miss lot of players all over the world but surely we will miss this whole team. What a team. Great Sammy. what an entertaining team. Best of luck for the whole life.
I almost fainted after the 3rd six. Wow! What a game! I prayed for that victory. Praise God for this great victory!!!
