PSL Auction 2026 Live Updates: Karachi sign David Warner, Rawalpindi get Naseem Shah

Karachi Kings are keen to have him, and swiftly outbid Rawalpindi. Now it's between the Kings and Zalmi, and the Kings secure his services for PKR 9 million. South African quick Ottneil Baartman goes to Hyderabad for PKR 11 million. Hyderabad continue to pick up Americans with Hammad Azam going their way

Amidst a number of players going unsold, the West Indian quick finds a home with the three-time champions

Hyderabad going all in on American talent. Jahangir did look good against Pakistan yesterday.

Paul Stirling, Towhid Hridoy, Richard Ngarava and Sheldon Cottrell all unsold.

That's a tad harsh. He was listed for PKR 11 million, but I thought he'd find a buyer. Boo.

Formerly Pakistan's and now the USA's Hassan Khan returns to the PSL. Quetta Gladiators, who he used to play for during his teenage sensation days, are locked in a bidding war with the Kingsmen. Lahore Qalandars enter the bidding as Quetta exit. Battling it out with Huderabad now. And Hyderabad win out, getting him for PKR 18.5 million.

Well, I say New Zealand. He hasn't actually played for them. He does have an SR in excess of 137 in T20 cricket, though. Keemo Paul and Mark Adair get no buyers.

Will Young kicks things off, and goes unsold. Lloyd Pope goes the same way. No interest in Binura Fernando either. Harry Tector, who scored a duck against Australia today, has not been bought either.

Finally there's a player that catches their fancy. Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators fight over the teenage sensation. The bidding started at 6 million and is now above 11 million. And now we've moved up to PKR 19 million. That's the final price, and Sameer Minhas goes to Islamabad United! What a day this will be for the young man.

Meanwhile, fast bowler Mohammad Musa goes unsold. As does Sharjeel Khan. Meanwhile, Islamabad United pick up bowler Sameen Guk, while Rohail Nazir is unsold. Ditto Zafar Gohar.

They're trying to flog these players off to the franchises, but they'd have more luck selling garlic dip to a vampire.

In the first pick of the accelerated round, he goes for PKR 8 million. Lots more domestic players going up for auction in the accelerated round. Virtually all of them go unsold

The franchises have been required to be a bit more ruthless as the auction goes on. And it seems as if it'll never end. We take a short break, during which I'll get myself a cup of tea. Tapal, since you ask.

Now that was unexpected. The 41-year old former Australian fast bowler will be at the PSL this time. 46-year old Imran Tahir, though, does go unsold. Not much love for Saffer spinners, with Keshav Maharaj getting no interest either. Stallionz swooped in late for Tabraiz Shamsi at PKR 22 million, and they pick him up at that base price

It is carnage out here. They seem to have spent their budget on a very long lunch. Jake Weatherald also gets no buyers. And proof that Father Time is undefeated, as Jason Roy also goes unsold

Babar Azam's Sydney Sixers captain gets no buyers. Charith Asalanka, Odean Smith and a host of other people whose names I have already forgotten do not pique any interest. Will Smeed, who was such hot property a few years ago, and starred at Quetta Gladiators, also falls by the wayside. As does Dawid Malan

Not much of a bidding war but the Kings pick up the Aussie leggie for PKR 45 million. Brandon King, Evin Lewis and Will Sutherland go unsold. Liam Dawson, Dasun Shanaka and Reeze Hendricks similarly get no buyers. Jake Fraser-McGurk does not appeal to any franchise either.

We've seen a pattern of this - teams forced to let players go interested in getting those players back. Islamabad fended off stuff competition but hang on to the fast bowler for PKR 41 million.

Mir Hamza, meanwhile, goes to Karachi Kings at his base price with no one else showing interest. Oh, hang on, Islamabad United come in at PKR 11.5, and Karachi match and raise. Looks like United are inflating the price because the Kings are keen to have him. Ultimately, the Kings raise it to PKR 20 million, but Islamabad still going toe-to-toe. Karachi finally secure him for PKR 24 million

He used to be pretty hot property a few years ago, but those days, clearly, are gone. Meanwhile, the middle Shah brother, Hunain, gets no interest either. Irish quick Josh Little also unsold

Islamabad United put in a very late bid at PKR 42 million, and it's begun a little bidding war between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United. Islamabad have dramatically raised the price to PKR 55 million, but Zalmi go past that, too. It's heating up. It's shot up to PKR 67 million; Islamabad are desperate to get him. He's currently trading at PKR 70 million. Silence from Peshawar Zalmi, and that means United get Chapman for PKR 70 million. Big payday for the Kiwi!

Ashton Turner, meanwhile, goes to the Stallionz for PKR 42 million.

Plenty of late interest from Islamabad United, too, but the Kingsmen held them off. Asif Ali, once such hot property at the PSL, goes unsold

The current Pakistan Test captain is unable to find a buyer at the auction. Neither, perhaps more surprisingly, is Haider Ali. James Vince attracts no interest either.

Not much interest in the all-rounders to start off. Michael Bracewell, too, joins his fellow Kiwi in going unsold. Iftikhar Ahmed, too, does not get any interest. Neither does Tom Curran. Brutal markety for allrounders. Shahid Aziz, though, finds a home at Karachi Kings

The momentum of the auction was largely broken as the teams broke away for nearly an hour and a half. However, looks finally like they might finally stagger back into the auction room soon. We'll obviously keep you updated

That was a huge jump for the young opener. He started with a base price of PKR 11 million, but shot up to nearly six times that value. What a day for Nafay. And with that, they take a lunch break, and I think I'll do the same

Haris is Zalmi's player and they want him back, while he suits Islamabad United's high-risk approach perfectly. The bidding started at PKR 11 million and has now gone above PKR 20 million. Peshawar Zalmi bag him for 22 million

The base price was PKR 6 million, but after an extended battle, the Qalandars secure the services of the youngest Shah brother for PKR 27 million. Great payday for the youngster.

Meanwhile, after nearly going unsold, there's a bidding war on for Kusal Perera, who topscored for Lahore Qalandars in last year's dramatic PSL final. Hyderabad have eventually got him for PKR 31 million

There was a very long silence and he was about to go unsold until Rawalpindi chipped in at the very end with a PKR 42 million bid. Karachi have raised this to PKR 43.5 million.

It's a laboured battle, with a couple of teams gradually raising bids by the minimum amount allowed. However, it has begun to pick up pace, and we've got ourselves up to PKR 54 million. That's what he goes for, to Rawalpindi

A slightly unlikely bidding war erupted for Australian batter Max Bryant, who Islamabad eventually acquired for PKR 19.5 million. Rassie van der Dussen, somewhat surprisingly, gets no takers. As does Tayyab Tahir. Alzarri Joseph is also among a number of players to get no interest

Peshawar Zalmi are fighting Islamabad United for his services, with the price swiftly shooting up from PKR 42 million to beyond PKR 77 million. I missed half of that following that dramatic final KG Rabada over. I can't promise I won't be distracted again during the Super Over.

And Rawalpindi have entered the mix. Or were they in the mix all along? Who can say. Anyway, they're the ones who get him - for PKR 80.5 million.

Islamabad United fighting them all the way. But Qalandars were determined to keep them, and United are out. However, Zalmi enter the mix, and bidding has gone past PKR 70 million now And Lahore Qalandars have made it very clear they're not letting Fakhar go. They take it up and beyond 78 million now. Huge payday for the veteran PSL and Pakistan legend. And he goes to the Qalandars for PKR 79.5 million!

Islamabad and Karachi are going at it. Bidding started at PKR 42 million, and it's now up to PKR 52.5 million. United trying to keep hold of their player, but Karachi Kings keep raising the stakes. Now up to PKR 58.5 million. And Islamabad have pulled out. Karachi Kings pick up the Pakistan T20I captain.

He'll be happy with that, ending up getting picked for PKR 19 million. Quetta Gladiators picked up Arafat Minhas, while leggie Usama Mir fetched a hefty 35 million, heading to Lahore Qalands

And Faisal Akram heads to Quetta Gladiators for PKR 12.5 million. And with that the auction, and I, will take a short break.

There was a brief bidding war, before Rawalpindi won the auction at PKR 30 million for the Bangladesh leggie

Islamabad and Quetta Gladiators went toe-to-toe before Karachi Kings entered the mix, and they currently hold him for PKR 52.5 million. But Sialkot Stallionz entered the mix, and now it's them who go back and forth over the Pakistan opener. Up to 57 million now. And that's what the Stallionz get him for!

Azam Khan's value has risen from PKR 11 million to 30.5 million. Sialkot and Karachi the interested parties. And Karachi have ended up picking him up for PKR 32.5 million

And Karachi waste no time raising him from PKR 42 million to 65 million. Islamabad battle for their former player. But the Kings raise his value in leaps and bounds. He's up to PKR 82 million now.

Team Rawalpindi is also in the mix now, and currently have the highest bid at PKR 86.5 million. Karachi have pulled out, too. Rawalpindi on the cusp of getting him. And they do! Rswalpindi acquire the star Pakistan fast bowler.

Meanwhile, poor Mohammad Hasnain goes unsold. There's been a fall in his stock over the years, and at his base price of PKR 11 million, no one seemed to want him.

There's gonna be some pretty wild interest from Lahore Qalandars, you imagine. Bidding already up to 50 million between Lahore and Quetta.

Rawalpindi enter the now, while Quetta appear to have backed out. He's up to PKR 75 million now.

And Lahore Qalandars keep Haris Rauf with them! He goes to the side he won three PSL titles with for PKR 76 million

He started off with a base price of PKR 11 million, but is now creeping up towards the 20 million mark. We're seeing a lot of sides want to bring back their former players, which is perhaps explained by the fewer retentions allowed. Teams want to get back the players they reluctantly let go. Rawalpindi, formerly Multan, have got Mohammad Ali back.

Oh, no, there's drama! The auctioneer missed Huderabad raising their paddle and announced Mohammad Ali sold, but they've reversed that decision! Hyderabad and Rawalpindi now fighting over Ali, who's up to 21.5 million. And that's what he goes for! Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen - if we must call them that, make their first signing.

Arguably the most impactful overseas player in PSL history, there was a bidding war between his two former franchises, Quetta Gladiators and Rawalpindi, formerly Multan Sultans. He's ended up being snapped up by the Gladiators for PKR 55 million. Meanwhile, Saud Shakeel goes unsold.

Karachi Kings fight for their captain last season, for whom bidding started at PKR 42 million. The bidding is now in excess of PKR 60 million; Zalmi just raised it to PKR 64.5 million, but the Kings keep are not ready to let him go just yet. The Kings have now gone up to 70 million! After a lengthy deliberation, Zalmi raised the price again, but the Kings keep clinging on. 77.5 million from the Kings is the latest offer we have, but it's still not done.

And Peshawar pull out! The Kings hold on to their former captain, as David Warner goes to the Kings for 79 million.

Imad Wasim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Asif Afridi, Danish Aziz are among a number of players following the Faheem Ashraf sale who have found no takers. And the lack of interest continues, with Kyle Mayers and Colin Munro also not drawing any interest.

Lots of interest at the auction for the opening player, Faheem Ashraf, who has surely benefitted from the timing of the auction coming just after his Netherlands heroics.

He started off with a base price of PKR 42 million, but it's just kept rising exponentially. Karachi Kings and Islamabad United are locked in a full bidding war. And Islamabad United have him! The former United player goes back to them for PKR 85 million!
