Kate is undoubtedly one of the most naturally gifted cricketers in the women's game. A hard-hitting batsman at the top of the order, she has the ability to put early runs on the board and effectively set up a match-winning one-day total. With her quick bowling and outstanding fielding, she is potentially a major asset to the TelstraClear White Ferns' line-up. She toured with the TelstraClear White Ferns in their winter 2002 tour to Europe, scoring a match-winning 55 in the side's tri-series Final victory v England. Her best bowling figures of four wickets for five runs were also earned on that tour - against the Netherlands at Utrecht. Kate was a member of the 1999 New Zealand Cricket Academy intake.
