Full commentary

6:15pm Bangladesh lost Soumya early, but Tamim gave the hosts a decent platform. Sabbir then dropped anchor and Shakib finished off the 164 chase calmly. Zimbabwe's openers had dominated in the early exchanges of the match, but a middle-order collapse set them back and eventually led to the downfall.

Thanks for joining us today. Do come back for the second T20 on Sunday.

Presentation:

Chigumbura: The most important period where we should have maximised we did not. We should work on that.Good to have the senior guys back in the team, but is is important to finish off games. We did not take our chances and I thought the bowlers did a good job. We did not back it up with our fielding.

Mashrafe: It was a clinical performance, batting. Bowling we will have to improve. Tamim was calm, Sabbir was brilliant, and Shakib finished it off. At stage, they looked to score 170-80, but the way Mustafiz and Al-Amin bowled was brilliant.

Hamilton Masakadza has to console himself with the Man-of-the-Match award

Hamilton: I thought I could have put a few more runs on the board. I think usually we have high-scoring games here. I was in, I should have made sure I should have stayed till the end. A lot of good young guys coming through and things are looking good for us in the future.

riad: "Zimbabwe did not score well in the death and later in the chase they allowed Bangladesh to score big."

botha: "2x5 wides from death bowlers, next time Zim would do better to use spinners in the death."
