Well that concludes our live coverage of this Test, do check out Isam's stories later on today. The teams break for a week and the 2nd Test starts Monday 21 October at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Until then, this is Avi Singh hoping you've enjoyed our coverage, thanking you for your comments and, on behalf of my fellow commentator Venkat Raghav and scorer Khairul Dalim, signing off and hoping you join us in just over a week's time. Ta!

Sohag Gazi is unsurprisingly named Man of the Match for his record-creating performance. He's speaking Bangla which isn't an area of linguistics I'm familiar with but it's safe to assume he is rather pleased with his century, five-wicket haul and of course, the hat-trick.

Mushfiqur Rahim is happy with his side's performance on the newly laid block and particularly the first-innings batting effort, particularly Mominul and Sohag Gazi's efforts. He feels his side were hungry to prove themselves in Tests as they don't have that many opportunities. He also congratulates New Zealand on their batting despite the warm-up game washout.

And now we have the post-match presentations. Brendon McCullum believes it was a good Test with batsmen making it tough for bowlers. He was happy with Williamson's performances whilst terming Watling's effort outstanding and offers praise for all the other batsmen too. He doesn't believe New Zealand were anywhere near their best in the field and congratulates Bangladesh on their first-innings batting effort. McCullum believes he needed to risk a declaration to try and make a game of it and felt Bangladesh were of a similar mindset.

So the match ends on a tame note as a result could not be reached, but there were several fine individual performances during the game - Kane Williamson's 114 and 74 double, Peter Fulton's twin fifties, BJ Watling's first innings ton and Trent Boult's fifty at No 11 along with a colossal 181 by Mominul Haque, the ton reached in 96 balls. But all the records have gone Sohag Gazi's way after he scored a ton, took five wickets in the second innings and a hat-trick as well - Bangladesh fought back well to take a first innings lead and decimated New Zealand's middle-lower order in both innings, but ultimately neither side court press home their moments of ascendancy.

Andrew: "I'm guessing the ten NZ players to have hit a six in this match is also a record?" Good question, might be one for Ask Steven...
