In the dark, to get 42 from 26 balls was a supreme effort from Inzamam, but the steady hands of Younis and Yousuf steadied the ship after the loss of the openers. For England, Lewis bowled an exceptional spell, much like Mohammad Asif did for Pakistan earlier in the day, but that was about it. With the D/L method coming in to play during the rain-reduced England innings and the miserably overcast Pakistan chase, it was not an entire day's cricket but we atleast have a result to kick the series alive.
England have some issues to sort out - batting, bowling - and they will desperately need to improve their ODI game with some key fixtures lined up in the coming season. Pakistan will have taken some solid confidence from this win after losing the Test series. Overall, a lack of confidence on England's part was their outdoing and Pakistan's fiery pace attack came together early and their depth in batting stepped it up in testing conditions.
Today's Man of the Match is Shoaib Akhtar for his awesome spell of 4 for 28 that helped dismantle England earlier in the day.
