Queensland 5 for 452 dec (Renshaw 170, Heazlett 124*, Wildermuth 94, Tremain 1-54) & 0 for 7 lead Victoria 9 for 436 dec (Pucovski 188, Gotch 63, Swepson 3-151) by 23 runs
A maiden Sheffield Shield century from Victorian young gun Will Pucovski helped Victoria almost draw level with Queensland in a run feast at the MCG.
Pucovski, 20, produced a monumental display of concentration facing 414 balls in his innings of 188 before falling caught and bowled to Mitch Swepson. A hundred of his runs came in boundaries. Cameron White scored yet another first-class half-century and Seb Gotch also made 63 as the Bushrangers absorbed 154 overs before declaring late on day three at 9 for 436. Swepson delivered 49 overs to finish with 3 for 151.
Queensland openers Lachlan Pfeffer and Matt Renshaw had to survive three overs before stumps and successfully negotiated the spin of Fawad Ahmed and pace of Peter Siddle.
