9:40pm That will be all from us from another breathtaking game in the BBL. We will be back at it again tomorrow, but until then, from Vairavan and myself (Shashwat), it is goodbye!

Max Bryant, Player of the Match: If we have wickets in hand, it is a nice place to bat. Xavier took pressure off me. We said before the game that we do not want to lose here. We have won three out of three. Hopefully we can go five out of five (at the Gabba). We need to win two home games, one away and hopefully we can make it (to the finals). Bowlers were awesome - their best display so far. Nice to do it (finish off the job) here at your home. We keep fighting, shows the Queensland spirit. Hopefully we can get a couple of wins under the belt and storm into the finals.

9:34pm Phew. What a game. What a game. The Heat looked buried at one stage, especially when they lost three wickets in quick succession through the middle. But then, Bryant had a slight slice of luck, and he made the Stars pay. Bartlett did his bit too, rocking off the dugout and into the thick of things, playing a cameo that put the Stars under all sorts of pressure.

And the Stars, unbeaten before today, cracked. Their death-bowling plans went awry, and they could not force the batters to attack just one side. They will also be frustrated about being unable to really stave off the pressure once the Heat amped it up, but whichever way you look at it, the Stars will leave the Gabba feeling they have let a win get away.

Haris Rauf to Bryant, FOUR runs

banged in short, and flayed away! Bryant and Bartlett hand the Stars their first loss of the season, and this incredible run-chase has now reached a stunning conclusion! Too short again and Bryant swishes at it with all he has. Gets a bit of an outside edge but he will not care one bit. Right in the gap between backward point and short third, and the Heat fans at the Gabba are having a raging party. What a game, and what a run-chase at the back end!

Haris Rauf to Bryant, SIX runs

Bryant levels the scores with a stinging blow! The Gabba heist is almost done! Back of a length on off. Bryant sits deep in his crease, brings his bottom hand into play and smears it over deep backward square leg!

2
Haris Rauf to Bryant, 2 runs

off-pace on a back of a length on off. Bryant clinks it off the toe-end towards long on. Bartlett says he is coming back for the second but Bryant is struggling at the other end. The throw is accurate enough but Harper's collection is not up to scratch. Chance missed...

1
Haris Rauf to Bartlett, 1 run

zipped in full on off. Bartlett clears his front leg and hacks it towards deep mid wicket. Single to begin the over

Just 10 needed off 6 now. Has it become the Heat's game to lose? Rauf to bowl the 20th. No prizes for guessing whose side the crowd is on

slower ball on a back of a length outside off. Bryant fetches it and tugs it towards deep mid wicket. Outstanding work on the fence by Cartwright to keep it to two

Tom Curran to Bryant, SIX runs

short, wide and into the stands! And this crowd is going absolutely wild. Too much width on offer and Bryant throws the plumbing at it, scything it over backward point!

1
Tom Curran to Bartlett, 1 run

on a length outside off. Bartlett winds up and drills it towards long off. Just a single this time, though

18.3
2
Tom Curran to Bartlett, 2 runs

full on middle and off. Bartlett goes straight again and drills it back past the bowler. Maxwell does well to move to his left from long on and save two

18.2

Tom Curran to Bartlett, FOUR runs

smashed down the ground! Misses the yorker by a smidgen on the shorter side. Just outside off too and Bartlett bulldozes it back past the bowler!

Tom Curran to Bartlett, 2 runs

dug into the track outside off. Bartlett winds up and heaves it towards deep mid wicket. Back for a brace

27 off 12, and this could be anyone's game now. Curran to bowl

full and wide outside off. Bryant throws everything at it but only musters a handful of fresh air

Siddle to Bryant, SIX runs

Bryant makes Siddle pay! And the crowd has come to life too! Slower ball on a back of a length on middle and leg. Bryant sits inside the line and shovels it a mile over fine leg!

Siddle to Bryant, (no ball) FOUR runs

four more! And it is a No ball too! Waist-high full toss outside off and that is probably the worst ball to bowl at this stage. Bryant cannot believe his luck and slugs it to mid on's right!

38 off 14 now. Looks like a change of ball is in order. Not entirely sure why. Maybe the last one was unretrievable

Siddle to Bryant, FOUR runs

smoked! Slower bumper outside off and this sits up. Bryant picks it early too and swats it past mid off. Could that get Bryant going?

17.3
Siddle to Bryant, no run

sharp short ball just outside off. Bryant tries to upper-cut it but is cramped for room. Another play and miss

17.2
2
Siddle to Bryant, 2 runs

full toss outside off. Bryant jams it out towards deep backward point and scurries back for a brace

17.1
Siddle to Bryant, no run

hard length on middle and off. Bryant swings for the fences and makes no contact at all

The Heat, believe it or not, are well ahead of where the Stars were at this stage. Siddle to bowl. 44 off 18

another wide on the off side. Swepson trying to keep it outside the arc but that plan is not quite working
