Hope you enjoyed the coverage. I certainly enjoyed bringing it to you. Until next time, it's goodbye from the commentary desk. Cheers!

Adil Rashid is the Man of the Match for his figures of 2 for 21 off four overs

The Scorchers were guilty of bowling either too short or too full. They couldn't find the middle line that generally tends to yield success on these kind of surfaces. But there were positives in the form of David Willey, who bowled his heart out even though the scorecard may suggest otherwise. Brad Hogg showed he still has it in him at 44. Adam Voges was fantastic with the bat earlier in the evening too.

Two wins in as many games for Adelaide Strikers. This one must be just a touch sweeter as it comes against a champion side. We thought Perth Scorchers would be 10-15 short. Well, it looks like they would have been 20 short on the night. The Adelaide chase was steered expertly by Mahela Jayawardene and Alex Ross, who allayed any fears of a middle order wobble. Worth mentioning that Jason Gillespie, who has enjoyed tremendous success with Yorkshire in England, has made a good start to his coaching career with the Strikers.

Paris to Ross, OUT

another attempted bit hit but this time, he can only hit it as far as the mid-on fielder. A little late in the day for Perth, but it's a wicket nonetheless.

swing and a miss, looks to finish it off with a glory hit

Paris to Ross, SIX runs

what a cracking hit that is! It was a length ball on middle and leg, he loaded himself nice and early to get the big swing going and the ball just sailed over the deep backward square leg boundary. Right out of the screws.

18.2
Paris to Ross, no run

swing and a miss. It was a yorker-length delivery that was angling away, he couldn't get under that one, through to the wicketkeeper

18.1
Paris to Ross, no run

low full toss outside off, he backs away to hit it over the infield but toe-ends it to the cover fielder

errs in length and gets punished. That was a half-tracker outside off, he clears his front leg, makes room and slashes at that one, gets plenty of wood on it as the ball sails over the third man boundary. Would have been punished at any time of the day or night

Willey to Neser, no run

that is a ripper of a delivery. Length ball that goes straight on, no delivation whatsoever, he looks to turn it wide of midwicket bus misses, the ball deflects off the pad to the keeper. I don't know how that missed the stumps, really. Big appeal from the bowler for lbw, but the umpire reckons that pitched outside leg perhaps

Willey to Mahela Jayawardene, OUT

looks to force that up and over the infield but ends up slicing it towards point where the fielder runs backwards to hold on to an excellent catch. Has it come too late for Perth? Their celebration suggests otherwise. Excellent innings nonetheless by the veteran
