they've done it! Bangladesh have upstaged India here, full toss outside the off stump and Mahmudullah smotes it past mid-off wild scenes as several green shirts come running out of the dressing room and congratulate their captain who is now well and truly mobbed. Take a bow Mushfiqur and Bangladesh! This win will be cherished
Bangladesh vs India, 4th Match at Dhaka, Mar 16 2012 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Presentation time...
Dhoni: "They played better cricket throughout. At the start of the Powerplay our bowlers felt the pressure, a bit more runs on the board would have been better. The youngsters will learn more. Bangladesh can play really well on their day, they used the conditions well, their reverse swing bowling was good. We have been waiting for a long time for Sachin to get this (hundred)."
Mushfiqur: "It's a huge moment for us. We want to dedicate this to Manjural Islam Rana (who died five years back). Today it was a great, we really appreciate our win. Thanks to the crowd."
Shakib is the Man of the Match, and deservedly so: "It was a great team effort, we batted really sensibly. I'm a very happy man now. The innings was crucial because I gave the rest the belief they could win. We had a plan to put Nasir up the order. If we win against Sri Lanka we can make the final but we don't want to depend on others."
Shakib makes an speech to the crowd in Bengali.
Sachin receives a Special Recognition Award.
That ends the best game of the tournament so far. It's been a pleasure bringing this to you. Join us on Sunday for India v Pakistan. Cheers!
End of match: What makes this very pleasing for Bangladesh's point of view was the collective effort. Tamim provided the base, Nasir accelerated when it mattered, Shakib was given the freedom to attack thanks to Nasir and Mushfiqur added the final blows. In the midst of this revelry, somehow Sachin's century is pushed to the background. For me, the Man of the Match should be one of the Bangladesh batsmen.
Om: "This has become a routine to India. How come India lose such a match. Poor planning.. poor captaincy. Sachin created a milestone and others broke it. :'("
Catching my breath here. Here' the list of Bangladesh's highest chases. This is their second best.
What this win does is it gives the game against Pakistan a lot of context for India. They have to win the next one.
full toss outside the off stump and it sped off the bat but Kohli swoops to to his left and stops it
Two off the last over. Mushfiqur on strike. Dinda to bowl, the field's up
tries to finish it in one shot, down the track, swing and a miss, the slower ball, just sneaks past the off stump

You should have seen a pumped up Shakib in the dressing room
see you later! Awesome shot by Mushfiqur, length ball on the off stump and he gets under the bounce and carts it high over wide long-on
it's a waist high no-ball! Mushfiqur was down the track and slices it over cover point, the din gets louder at Mirpur
Swapna: "India cannot lose the match in which Sachin Tendulkar scores his 100th international century! Come on Dhoni! We r with you no matter what!"
some respite for Irfan as Nasir swishes and misses, he was aiming to slam that over cover
Still one ball left. The crowd's very optimistic and why not?
pulled away and there's no midwicket, they pick up the second run and there's a direct hit and he grounded his bat by a long way, the 3rd umpire takes a look
18 needed off 14
he bowls a length ball outside off and he swivels and pulls it to deep midwicket
that's gone miles! Irfan comes round the wicket and bowls a friendly full toss and Mushfiqur moves across and clubs it high over deep midwicket
That prompts a discussion between captain and bowler
the timing was the difference! Irfan pitches it up on the leg stump and a nonchalant flick by Rahim was good enough to carry it over deep square leg
Irfan misdirects the full toss wide outside the off stump, too wide for the batsman to chase that
yorker on the off stump and he drills it down towards long-off
Could the previous over be the turning point? Target still achievable
full toss and he swings at it and fortunately for the batsman it lands in front of long-on, that's his fifty as well
another dot ball! Nasir makes room and he fails to dig out a yorker outside the off stump
this is excellent stuff from Praveen, he saw the batsman making room, fired a yorker wide of the leg stump and he failed to dig it out
makes room and thumps it down to extra cover for a quick single, the fielder didn't throw
well bowled again, he managed to dig it out to the on side
Four fielders inside the circle on the off side
Rahim squeezes out an inswinging yorker to the on side
